C-TPAT Certified

The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a U.S. government initiative that partners with trusted logistics companies to strengthen border and cargo security. As a C-TPAT certified carrier, Goodway Carriers follows strict guidelines for shipment visibility, driver verification, seal integrity, and facility access. This certification speeds up border clearance times, reduces inspection risks, and ensures supply chain integrity for our U.S.-bound clients.

CA PIP (Partners in Protection)

PIP is a voluntary Canadian program run by the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency), similar to C-TPAT, aimed at securing international trade and streamlining customs processes. As a PIP member, Goodway Carriers is recognized as a low-risk and trusted trade partner, giving clients faster clearance and priority processing at Canadian border points. It also confirms our internal security practices — from personnel background checks to warehouse access control — meet national standards.

HACCP-Compliant Food Transport

Goodway Carriers operates under HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)-compliant practices, meaning we follow strict protocols designed to identify, prevent, and eliminate food safety risks. Our refrigerated trailers are sanitized regularly, pre-cooled to required temperatures before loading, and monitored for temperature consistency throughout transit. This ensures safe handling of perishables such as meat, dairy, seafood, produce, and pharmaceuticals — with full traceability and temperature logs available.

SmartWay Certified

Developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the SmartWay Transport Partnership promotes fuel-efficient, environmentally responsible freight movement. Goodway Carriers is a SmartWay-certified carrier, which means our fleet meets EPA standards for fuel usage, emissions reduction, and idle time control. We actively invest in modern equipment, eco-routing software, and driver training to reduce our environmental footprint — all while delivering superior logistics performance.

CVOR Registered

Goodway Carriers holds an active Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) in Ontario, verifying our compliance with provincial safety laws. This includes driver qualifications, logbook audits, vehicle inspections, and adherence to weight restrictions. The CVOR system monitors carriers for safety and performance, and our clean record demonstrates our dedication to operating safely on Canadian roads.

Operating cross-border into the United States requires full compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. We meet all mandates around hours of service (HOS), electronic logging devices (ELDs), vehicle inspections, and driver licensing. This protects both our drivers and your freight — ensuring legal, on-time delivery without disruption or violation penalties.
